“I only got one vision, that’s for kids in every color, religion.”
Contemporary menswear brand, Superism, along with hip-hop golden child, irreverent style icon, and Creative and Partner of the brand, A$AP Rocky, announce the release of their first release. Their first line in partnership is an offering of limited edition graphic t-shirts, pullover hoodies and hats titled the “Vision.”
The design is centered around the CMYK color model, which stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black), and is the basis and backbone of the creation of all colors. The inspiration behind the design is that each color on its own is just a color, but when all four are blended together, they make an endless amount of beautiful possibilities. Similarly, alone we’re just one person, but when we stand united, despite race, gender, sexual orientation, or economic status, we create a more beautiful world where opportunity and possibility knows no bounds. And that’s the kind of world we see for our kids. And their kids. A world where they’re not discriminated against, but empowered because of what makes them unique, weird, and most importantly, true to themselves.
This is the first of many youth empowering projects for Superism and A$AP Rocky as they continue to bring their mission to the forefront of conversation with the ultimate goal of serving underserved youth. Along with the growing impact he has on music and culture, Rocky is the director of his internal creative agency, AWGE, which primarily focuses on fashion and artistry. He brings an incredible amount of creative vision, one he shares with Superism- a vision that represents a way of life for young professionals who work hard, are driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion to succeed. Simply put,
“You can’t do epic shit with basic folks.”
Superism and A$AP Rocky believe this drive to succeed, especially creatively, develops at a very young age and must be nurtured, fostered, and given a voice. Their shared belief in, and passion for, creating opportunities for our nation’s children by giving them the tools they need, and the chance all children should be given and are entitled to, makes this partnership a natural progression in furthering their vision and impact.
The Vision collection will be sold exclusively, and in limited quantities, on Superism’s website, www.superism.com, starting Friday, November 4th at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST. All proceeds made from the Vision collection will go to assisting several children’s focused organizations in Orange County, Los Angeles and eventually… globally.
